The first thing you do is head on over to

[00:03:00] MidJourney.com and you’ll see a page like this.And what you need to do is you simply need to click the join the beta button.Now, once you do that, you see that screen kind of flicker there a minute. And that’s because I am already logged into my discord account. let me open a incognito window here and go to MidJourney.com.And if you don’t have a Discord account, does this, what it will look like, when you click on the joint Beta. It will basically invite you to sign up for a Discord account.You can also go ahead and sign up for your own. Discord account.You can go right here. Discord accounts are free. You don’t have to pay anything to use it and you can go ahead and, sign up for an

[00:04:00] account here, and then get logged in if you want to, before you go to sign up for MidJourney. Either way, the process will take you to the same place.Now once you’ve created your MidJourney account and you’ve created your Discord account.And. You joined the Discord server. You accept the invite. You are going to see something.Like this right here. Now you may not have as many of these on the side. These are all the different servers or the different. communities, so to speak that I’m a part off and you probably may only have this MidJourney if you are new.Now it’s free to get signed up for both MidJourney and Discord, but for MidJourney, new users are allowed 25 free images generations. And you probably won’t

[00:05:00] see as many, what do you call these are like threads or groups, or topics if you but Discord calls them like servers.Whatever it is. It doesn’t really matter. So these are like sections and subjects that they have. You may not see all this, and I only see all this because I have a subscription to it.What you will see though, is a trial support, and you will see these newcomer rooms. And that is where you start your image generation.So go ahead and click on one of these. newbies rooms. And to start image generation. You basically do a forward slash. And where you see this, imagine prompt. You click that, or you can use your mouse to move up and down as you can see that, and enter.

[00:06:00] And then you enter a prompt, what you want MidJourney to create for you. So if I say a field of tulips, for example, and I hit enter.What it’s going to do here. The bot is going to repeat what I told it to do. And in the meantime, my prompt, like you see here, it may disappear because other people are also entering their prompts.Other people also telling MidJourney you what they want them to create.So this is the part that may take you some getting used to, and you will have to keep scrolling back if you want to watch what it’s doing. And it will tell you here, what’s the percentage of completion it is. Every time it refreshes, you will see that the picture gets a little clearer.Basically at this point, you do nothing and wait. Of course you can go ahead and create another prompt and start another generation for

[00:07:00] something else. But, because you are limited to the first 25, I recommend that you don’t get too crazy at the beginning. And just simply wait for it now, as you can see, this is okay now I found it. Okay. So this here are four different options that gives me. This is something that you want to remember. This is number one, this is number two. This is number three, and this is number four.And now, you click back to your process here. At the bottom, you will see all these buttons. U1, U2, U3, U4. So these numbers correspond to 1, 2, 3, 4, and this is V and this is basically do over.So the U is basically to upscale. Make making it, a better quality photo. And usually I don’t do any of that until I’m really happy with one of the

[00:08:00] images here.The V at the bottom tells MidJourney, which one of these images I want to make variations of. So if there is one in particular, I like more than the other. I can say, for example, I like this one better, so I’m going to click on V1. And it’s going to start a new job. based on this image its going to make variations of this image. Now, perhaps I like this one too.I can click V2 so you can click one, you can click all,. I don’t usually start off by upscaling it. I usually only upscale it if I’m really happy with that particular image.But I want to see what MidJourney can give me. What else can it do and sometimes you may find that things become better as you variate each variation.Now if you’re not happy with either one of these just hit redo.

[00:09:00] And it’s as simple as that, but you also want to give it a chance. So normally I do not hit, redo immediately. I try to pick out one that is the one I like the most from one of these four.And then I click the button below here to variate it. Now if I scroll down. I should be able to find here. Okay. So it says here a job finished, see results, job finished, see results. Okay. So from the first image, now it gives me these variations. You can see. they are very similar, but they have different variations of the original.And I like this and I like this. So that’s a little bit of a toss up, but let’s click this to upscale. And I really like that. Now you can continue to variate if you want. but as long as you find something that you’re happy with, ou can go ahead and [00:10:00] upscale it for you for it to create a really high quality version. And from time to time, you may find, some of the images here other people have created that are really cool. And then you actually like. And you can also upscale and variate their creations if you want it to. But typically I don’t because I simply want to respect other people’s work, but you can do that because MidJourney is an open platform. That’s something you want to keep in mind. Anybody can actually download your creations. But chances are they’re here doing their own thing as well.All right. What about the other one? Okay, so this is the second picture to ask it to variate. And from all of these, I think I like this one, the best. So I’m going to click and this is number four. So I’m going to click upscale

[00:11:00] 4.And this one, it says it’s ready. So if I click results, it’ll take me to this. So that’s a very nice image. And if you want to, you can just click this, and open original. And you can download from here. Or a MidJourney will always save this to your personal gallery anyway, to go to your personal gallery, you can just click web. And I’ll tell you. Okay. It will take you through this. Okay. Fine. Yup. And then give it a moment.Let me Usually you won’t have that authorized and you will see here, all the things that you have done before and you can, click it to save it and you can recopy your prompts here. You can do different things. You can open it in discord. You can save image. You can copy job ID. These are things that are a little bit more advanced, but,

And anytime you want to come back to your images, you can always come to MidJourney.com/app. Get logged in.And you will see all the images that you have created.
